ROI (Return on Investment)

(Revenue - Spend) / Spend × 100

Measures profitability. 100% ROI means you doubled your money. Negative ROI means you lost money.

ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)

Revenue / Spend

Measures revenue generated per dollar spent. A 3.0x ROAS means $3 revenue for every $1 spent.

Break-even point

ROI = 0% / ROAS = 1.0x

You make back exactly what you spent. Anything above is profit, anything below is a loss.
